When you say just those two words it sums up a whole meaning, It's an action movie with a lot of special effects and breathtaking scenes that have left their mark on cinema. There are currently 2 films in this franchise, Top Gun released in 1986 is the one that propelled the career of the main actor Tom Cruise in cinema. But also, Top Gun Maverick, the sequel to the 1986 film, was recently released in 2022 and is probably still available in your local cinema at the time of writing.

Here is a short summary of the 1986 film (spoiler alert)

"The story takes place in the late 1980s, during the final years of the Cold War. During a routine air patrol, two fighter jets encounter two other aircraft considered hostile by their hierarchy. But not everything goes according to plan."
